50-Page Manuscript Critique by Gwenda Bond

The amazing Gwenda Bond has donated a 50-page manuscript critique! She says: "This will be a generous critique, and I'll happily spitball ideas with the writer about world-building and the structure of the rest of the book if they like."

Gwenda Bond writes young adult fantasy. She is a contributing writer for Publishers Weekly, and her nonfiction work has also appeared in the Washington Post, Kirkus, Strange Horizons, The Nebula Awards Showcase 2009 anthology, and in the Awake! A Reader for the Sleepless anthology. Her short stories have appeared in the Journal of Mythic Arts and The Journal of Pulse-Pounding Narratives. In association with her blog, Shaken & Stirred, she has been a guest on NPR's Weekend Edition. She holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts' program in writing for children and young adults, and is a veteran of the critique mines, having participated in several science fiction and fantasy peer workshops, including the Rio Hondo Writers Workshop, Turkey City, and Blue Heaven. Readers of Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet may know her as everyone's Dear Aunt Gwenda. She is currently guest editing a YA-focused issue of Subterranean Press's online magazine to appear next year.
She lives in a hundred-year-old house in Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband author Christopher Rowe, and their menagerie. She is represented by Jennifer Laughran of the Andrea Brown Literary Agency.

*This donation is for the online auction.  Bidding will open on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10am, and close on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 10pm Est.*
